Apply PPE and biosecurity protocols (e.g. isolation, decontamination etc)
appropriate to the level of risk
You never know when an EAD might occur. Keep your differential diagnosis list broad
and, with advice from the lab, be prepared to collect all samples required to come
to a diagnosis.
While maintaining client confidentiality, keep abreast of what diseases are being
diagnosed by other vets in your local area and region. You might be surprised what
you discover!
